Opportunities for Service
• Collection Team - Be a part of a small army mobilized to combat hunger. Serve in 1 of 2 - 3 1/2 hour shifts in front of our pre-approved locations. Store assignments are usually given 2 to 3 days prior to the service day.
• Communication Team - This small team is the nerve center of the day’s event. All store assignments start here. We communicate with as many as 250 to 300 people during the course of the event. If you have good phone and typing skills we can use you here. candi@foodfromtheheart.org
• Distribution Team - This team is responsible for moving tons of food, literally. All food that is donated must be transported to one of our distribution locations. Do you have a large truck with a lift gate?
• Pre-Production Planning/Post Event Team - This team is responsible for training and event day coordination of the collection team. This team is mobile all day from around 7:00 am - 6:00 pm and wears many hats.
• Prayer Team - This team will meet monthly to focus in prayer on the direction of the mission and the people that serve in it.
• Financial Assistance - If you are unable to meet any of the criteria for service, donations are always welcome. Donations received will assist the cost of maintaining the operations ability to manage, grow and promote the Word of God.
